Coconut Oil

I feel young coconuts and coconut oil are two of the best foods we can include in our diet. I personally eat a spoonful of oil every day.

I also use it as a lotion for my skin after a shower. It's also a great oil for massage. (I have coconut oil in my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom!)

In my research, I've come to the conclusion that raw saturated fat is a healthy food and neccessary for optimal health. It's found in every part of our body. (Cooked saturated fat is not so healthy.)

Raw coconut oil is a true superfood.

Young Coconuts and coconut oil are the only sources of saturated fat available on the raw vegan diet. Our body can make saturated fat, but I prefer to eat it.

The best source of info on coconuts and coconut oil is found in "Eating For Beauty" by David Wolfe. Read the coconut oil chapter before making a decision on it's role in the raw vegan diet!

How do I eat coconut oil?

It is the perfect addition to green smoothies. (The fat requires very little digestion and is okay to combine with fruit!). Use it in gourmet recipes. Combine it with raw cacao to make fudge. Add it to salads. Eat it plain. Eat with Gratitude. Enjoy!
