I've been searching for raw oats for a long time! They are a highly nutritious food, but when they are cooked they become a hard, gluey, sticky, solid substance that creates a mucoid plaque in the colon.
I often do the oatmeal test with my digestive enzyme supplements. Here it is:
Step 1: Purchase some plant based digestive enzyme supplements.
Step 2: Cook some oatmeal and put it into a bowl. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
After a half hour, the oatmeal will become a solid substance. Tip the bowl upside down and the oatmeal will not fall out. (This is what it does inside your digestive track!)
Step 3: Empty one capsule of the digestive enzyme supplement into the bowl and stir. It will be tough to stir at first but keep doing it. After 5 minutes or so, the enzymes will break down the oatmeal and it will be liquid.
This simple test shows you how powerful the digestive enzymes are. If you're eating cooked foods, it is essential to eat enzyme supplements with your meal.
